This edit will require that the NDC code of the smallest package size is being submitted. This is a simply on/off switch.
This does not address the smallest unbreakable package size as defined by Medicare Part D.
Edit Name is the unique name for the edit.
Message Group is the assigned Message group to be captured each time the edit is used.
To find the smallest package size based on the Product Service ID, there is a field in the MediSpan NDC File data, Next-Smaller NDC suffice number. If the field is null or empty (not sure how it is), that NDC is considered the smallest for the NDC submitted.

H103 - Next-Smaller NDC Suffix Number This is a 2-character field.
When available, the Next-Smaller NDC Suffix Number identifies the last one or two-digit suffix for the next smaller size of a drug product. This field is used for products identified by an NDC. UPCs, HRIs, inner packs, clinic packs, and unit-dose items are not considered.
